My motivation for this years ride is to honor my late Grandfather in law, David Brosseit. Dave not only was a die hard snowmobiler and roll model to the sport, but he was a great mentor and grandfather to my wife and I. Dave had gone through many bouts with various cancers over the years and despite having his lower intestine and part of his abdomen removed over 35 years ago, he still found a way to ride his snowmobile every year and continue to thirst for life. He is a textbook example of the phrase "Never give up" and definitely did not go gentile into his good night. Dave passed away December 1st, 2021, the official opening of snowmobile season in the UP. As a part of the Snowball Cancer Challenge 2021, I will join Nick and a group of riders on Feb 17, 2021 to attempt to ride 500+ miles in ONE DAY! I along with the other riders will obtain pledges and donations to keep motivated on the long ride. The money raised will go to the Keller Family Community Foundation to support their mission. All donations will be tax deductible.
As a part of the Snowball Cancer Challenge 2024, Nick and a group of riders on Feb 8, 2024 and Feb 15, 2024 will attempt to ride 500+ miles in ONE DAY – The Valentine 500.
